SEA STARS is a three day buddy camp designed for students with special needs and their guardians to explore the Gulf of Mexico.  Thanks to a grant provided by the Gulf of Mexico Alliance Environmental Education Network (GOMAEEN), this camp is fully funded for camper-guardian pairs! All meals, excursions, housing, and activities are paid for with the grant!   While at the Sea Lab, students and their guardians will explore the various coastal habitats of Alabama with marine educators.  The highlight of the weekend is sure to be the 2 hour cruise aboard the RV Alabama Discovery, the Sea Lab’s 65ft education vessel.  This weekend experience is specially designed for students under the age of 18 with developmental disabilities.  Paired with their guardian, campers will explore the wonderful marine world in a hands-on and fun atmosphere.

Registration is FULL. You may still submit an application to be placed on the waiting list in case a space becomes available. Please indicate "WAIT LIST" on your form. No registration fee is necessary for this.
